Temperatures are dipping below 37-degrees tonight in Los Angeles county and San Fernando Valley, posing a threat to tender plants.

Foodie Gardeners, cover tender crops and fruit trees tonight with insulating blanket or plastic propped up with stakes.

Freezing temperatures are expected through the morning hours and will continue every night until Saturday, Jan 2.

Protect all tropical and sub-tropical  citrus trees, coffee and tea plants,  Miracle Fruit trees, and banana trees.
